Ordering electronic signatures for citizens of the European Union (EU) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states

We issue electronic signatures in cryptographic USB tokens to citizens of the European Union and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) (i.e. Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) member states who have residence permits in the Republic of Lithuania – documents in the card format of the new type, which are issued from 1 March 2019 for the confirmation of the right of temporal or permanent residence in the Republic of Lithuania and replace A4 format paper certificates for the confirmation of the right of the citizen of the Member State of the European Union of temporal or permanent residence in the Republic of Lithuania.

Electronic signatures are issued at the customer service units of the Centre of Registers.
  
The procedure for issuing / updating electronic signature certificates:
  1. Fill out this form and send it (in Excel format) by e-mail to info@elektroninis.lt. If you want to get your certificates updated, please specify in your e-mail that you are ordering the updating of the certificates.
  2. Upon receipt of your order, by the end of the next working day you will receive an invoice for advance payment.
  3. Certificates will be produced upon receipt of your notification about the payment having been made. You will be able to check the status of your order online.

Updating of elektroninis.lt signature certificates

If you have e-signature certificates in a cryptographic USB token or smart card that have expired or are close to expiration, you can have them updated at any branch or unit of the Centre of Registers. Be sure to bring your personal identification document (a passport or an ID card) and your e-signature USB token or smart card with you.

The price for updating of e-signature certificates – EUR 8.23 (including VAT).

If a natural person wishes that an invoice for the issuing / updating of an electronic signature certificate is issued and submitted to a legal entity, he/she must, along with other documents required for the issuing / updating of the certificate, submit a free-form written consent of the legal entity to pay for the above-mentioned services, indicating the name and registration number of the legal person, and the first and last name and personal code of the specific natural person (employee).
 
After expiration of your e-signature in a mobile phone, please contact your mobile operator.
 
NOTE: Citizens of the EU Member States and of the Schengen countries which are not in the EU should apply for the updating of their certificates in accordance with the same procedure as for their issuance. Please click this link for more information.

What do you need to have with you?

If you wish to buy an elektroninis.lt e-signature in a mobile phone, please be sure to bring your mobile phone along with your personal identification document. Your SIM card will be replaced by a new one with the elektroninis.lt e-signature recorded in it. At the time of such replacement, the mobile service you are using must be active, not blocked or otherwise restricted due to various reasons. We recommend that, before having your current SIM card replaced, you should make a backup copy of the data stored on your SIM card (for example, your address book).

What is the processing time for issuing elektroninis.lt?

    Elektroninis.lt is recorded into either an USB token or a smart card within 7 working days. You will receive more information on the exact time of its production from a representative of your selected branch or unit of the Centre of Registers at the time of placing your order.

A mobile SIM card with elektroninis.lt is issued immediately, and the electronic signature service is activated within 24 hours.

Information for customers of UAB Skaitmeninio Sertifikavimo Centras and other
trust service providers

Please be informed that customers, who have Aladdin eToken PRO USB tokens issued by UAB Skaitmeninis Sertifikavimo Centras, can bring these tokens to the State Enterprise Centre of Registers for recording qualified elektroninis.lt signature certificates and continue to use their e-signatures.
 
Citizens of the Republic of Lithuania and other countries, except the EU Member States and of the Schengen countries, can buy elektroninis.lt signature at any branch or unit of the Centre of Registers. Please be sure to bring your personal identification document (a passport or an ID card, foreign citizens – a valid residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania (card)) and your Aladdin eToken PRO USB token with you.
 
Citizens of the EU Member States and of the Schengen countries, who have Aladdin eToken PRO tokens, are kindly requested to follow the procedure described on this page.

Unfortunately, if you have purchased a different model of an USB token, we will not be able to record e-signature certificates into it. In this case, we suggest that you purchase qualified e-signature certificates in a new cryptographic USB token issued by the Centre of Registers in accordance with a standard procedure. You can place your order online.
 
If, after the provision of services, you wish that an invoice be issued to a legal entity, please bring a written consent of the legal entity to pay for the services provided by the Centre of Registers to the persons indicated in the consent.
